Glen Tarman is the International Advocacy Director for Action Against Hunger, responsible for leading our advocacy efforts across our international network.

Glen joined us in 2013 from the UK development NGO platform Bond, where he was Advocacy and Policy Director leading on collective advocacy and campaigning by UK NGOs. Before starting with Action Against Hunger, Glen was part of the leadership group that delivered the IF Campaign, which resulted in the Nutrition for Growth Compact ahead of the 2013 G8 Summit.

His international leadership experience includes being on the board of the European NGO confederation CONCORD and on the governing bodies of the Global Call for Action Against Poverty (GCAP) and the International Forum of National NGO Platforms

A decade ago, Glen was coordinator of the Trade Justice Movement and a founding coordinator of Make Poverty History – the 2005 alliance that saw the largest ever public mobilisation on global poverty.

In the 1990s he took NGO action online as communications manager at OneWorld and coordinated events and the UK national activist networks for the World Development Movement and VSO, as well as a number of other NGO media and communications roles.
