Too Many Critics

Action Against Hunger brings it unique brand of playful gastronomic ‘payback’ with its annual Too Many Critics events in Manchester and London in 2017.

Last year’s Manchester evening was held at Brazilian restaurant Fazenda and the London event at the unique Ceviche. On the night we turned the tables on a team of food critics, who swapped their pens for pans to cook a three course dinner for a room full of chefs and food industry professionals.

Last year’s event included top critics and chefs from across the UK. Previous critics have included Bill Knott (The FT’s How to Spend It), Jay Rayner (The Observer), Lucas Hollweg (Food Writer), Lisa Markwell (former editor, The Independent), Mark Garner (Manchester Confidential), Emily Heward (Manchester Evening News) and Ruth Allan (Manchester Wire).

Previously, the critics’ unique meals have been judged by famous UK chefs including Dan Doherty (Duck & Waffle), Hamish Brown (Roka), Lisa Allen (Northcote Manor), Frances Atkins (The Yorke Arms), Jose Pizarro (Pizarro) and Gizzi Erskine.
